Many of these devices are quite small and very portable, typically weighing less than a pound. Easy to carry in your luggage or overnight bag, a portable scanner is the ideal business tool for those long trips on the road. Of course there is a drawback to all this portability, and the main one would have to be with regard to image quality. As useful and convenient as these devices are, they simply can't compare with larger models in terms of the clarity of the image. Nevertheless, they are sufficient for most casual uses, and their small size and portability makes up for any deficiency in image resolution.
